The Cowboy is a couple of months younger than Peanut. They are best 'buds'. (Bud means buddy).

But! Peanut and The Cowboy are competitive! Each bulldog wants to be the best runner, the best wrestler, and the best looking!

Peanut told Cowboy that he was the most handsome. Cowboy said that he was a lot prettier than Peanut! They asked me, "Who is the best looking bulldog?"

I said, "Why, I just can't say... You are both so good looking that it's hard to pick!"

Peanut said to Cowboy, "I'm faster than you!" And off he ran. Cowboy ran after him and almost caught him!

"Boys! It's too hot to be racing around! Do something that is quiet", I said.

Peanut smiled at Cowboy and asked him, "Did he say 'Quiet'?"

Cowboy nodded yes.

Peanut said, "Well, I'm the loudest!" And both Peanut and Cowboy started howling! "Yow! Yow! HooooooowoOOow!"

That was enough for me and I went back inside the house and closed the door!
