The Cowboy watched me feed the fish. He saw me throw the fish food into the pool. Then he saw the goldfish! He got so excited his back feet started jumping up and down.

Sugar came up and said, "Cowboy. What are you doing?"

All Cowboy could do was to stammer, "F-F-F-Fish."

Cowboy doesn't know many words yet and sometimes he gets excited and has a hard time saying them. But, Sugar is very patient and understanding (and kind), so she just waits until Cowboy is finished.
"May I see them, please?" Sugar asked.

Cowboy leaned over the side of the pool and lapped the water. "Okay!" he said and moved over so Sugar could see.

"Oh! Cowboy! They are so pretty!" Sugar said. Sugar leaned over too far and SPLASH! She fell in! Her nose went under the water! She swallowed some water. Sputtering, she stood up and started to cry.

Cowboy said, "You be okay!"

And Sugar was okay... as soon as she climbed out of the pool!
